Lina Matos-Delgado brings compassion, professionalism, and warmth to Sousa Family Law as our Client Services Coordinator. Often the first point of contact, Lina sets the tone for the supportive, client-centered experience our firm is known for.
Her journey began after immigrating from Portugal in 1978. From working in a clothing factory to support her family, to earning her GED and associate degree while holding multiple jobs, Lina’s path reflects resilience and determination. She eventually found her way to the legal field—fulfilling a lifelong goal of helping others in meaningful ways.
With over three years of legal experience and a background in customer service, shelter supervision, and business ownership, Lina brings a unique blend of empathy and organizational skill. Her calm presence, attentive listening, and commitment to confidentiality make her an invaluable support to both clients and attorneys.
A Calming and Compassionate Presence
Clients regularly express how Lina’s warmth and attentiveness help ease their stress during challenging times. Whether she’s answering questions or simply offering a listening ear, Lina ensures every client feels respected and cared for.

Outside the Office
Creative and full of life, Lina enjoys reading, scenic walks, beach days, and crafting. Her sense of humor and kind spirit brighten the office and uplift everyone around her. offering a listening ear, Lina ensures every client feels respected and cared for.

Lina’s dedication extends beyond the office. She has long been active in the New Bedford community—volunteering at homeless shelters, preparing meals, and supporting social justice efforts, including through the Coalition for Social Justice.
