Her journey began after immigrating from Portugal in 1978. From working in a clothing factory to support her family, to earning her GED and associate degree while holding multiple jobs, Lina’s path reflects resilience and determination. She eventually found her way to the legal field—fulfilling a lifelong goal of helping others in meaningful ways.
With over three years of legal experience and a background in customer service, shelter supervision, and business ownership, Lina brings a unique blend of empathy and organizational skill. Her calm presence, attentive listening, and commitment to confidentiality make her an invaluable support to both clients and attorneys.
Clients regularly express how Lina’s warmth and attentiveness help ease their stress during challenging times. Whether she’s answering questions or simply offering a listening ear, Lina ensures every client feels respected and cared for.

Lina’s dedication extends beyond the office. She has long been active in the New Bedford community—volunteering at homeless shelters, preparing meals, and supporting social justice efforts, including through the Coalition for Social Justice.
